As a Transport Manager, you will have overall responsibility for driving, planning, and optimizing transport flows within energy and recycling. You are the hub between drivers, customer service, and management, with a great opportunity to influence both daily operations and future working methods.

About the assignment

We are looking for two Transport Managers for a temporary position, starting as soon as possible until 21/8-2026. The client operates within district heating, district cooling, electricity, recycling, and energy services - you will be part of their transport department, which means you will work closely with drivers, transport administrators, team leaders, and report directly to the transport manager. Working hours are every other week from 06:30 to 15:00 and 07:30 to 16:00.

Your responsibilities

• Plan and lead daily operations and incoming orders - both short- and long-term.

• Optimize routes and trips for the collection and transport of waste and recycling materials.

• Maintain close communication with drivers, customer service, and clients.

• Manage deviations and daily issues.

• Handle personnel planning during staffing changes.

• Administer and work in the transport system Fetchplanner and participate in development projects.

• Control, coding, and approval of invoices.

• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and guidelines.

Your qualifications

• High school diploma, preferably supplemented with courses in transport and logistics.

• Good computer skills and basic knowledge of contract and transport law as well as occupational health and safety.

To fit in the role, you need to enjoy structuring, planning, and prioritizing your work in a fast-paced environment, be communicative, proactive, and have good collaboration skills.

Meritorious

• Experience in planning in a traffic or transport department.

• Experience from the environmental industry, transport management training, C/CE driving license, and professional competence certificate.
